There is no debate about this one.
Yes, there is a debate for the greatest basketball player of all time. Is it MJ, Kobe, LeBron, or maybe Kareem? That debate is there , it's thriving and its fun to hear people's opinions on who owns that title of being the best basketball player in the world. Heck, I probably talk about that argument once a week with anyone who loves basketball as much as I do.
But, there isn't a debate when it comes to the best quarterback of all time. The answer is clear: it's the guy who broke so many hearts after he announced his retirement from the National Football League last week.

I'm not going to overload everyone with Tom Brady's stats; I think there is much more to the seven-time Super Bowl champion than his stats (sorry, had to throw that stat in there).

Tom Brady is a leader in its most pure and raw definition. I mean, he has to be. He played the hardest position on the field which is much more than just throwing the football to his receivers or passing the ball off to his running backs; he was orchestrating the plays. Being a quarterback is synonymous with being a leader. Whether he wanted it or not, he was forced to become the leader of every team he played for, and he did it with so much poise and grace.
I highly recommend that you watch "Man In The Arena", a ESPN+ series about Brady and his journey through the NFL. While I personally have been very invested in Brady's life and his football career, I learned more about him through watching the docu-series than I could have researching him for an entire day.

If you watch the documentary or not, we should all just be thankful we were able to watch Tom Brady play football. While his retirement announcement was a bit of a heart-breaker, how lucky are we to have watched one of, if not the most, influential athletes of our time?
Thank you Tom Brady. Thank you for showing us what it means to give your heart and soul to something you're so passionate about. Thank you for showing us what it means to lead with elegance and bravery. The football world will continue on without you, but man, we will never ever forget the impact you left.
