LEARN ABOUT ME

Hi, all! My name is Sarah Grubbs. I am a master's student at UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media studying strategic communications.

I graduated in May of 2021 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism. My passion for writing, especially about sports, lead me to apply for a M.A. in Media and Communications.

Remember how I said I majored in journalism and am now studying studying strategic communications? Well, while some believe that the two areas of focus are mutually exclusive in some ways, I believed they are intertwined in every way possible.

I am interested in sports. From the age of 4, when I began throwing football with my dad in the backyard, to the age of 23, still providing young girls with lacrosse lessons, I am passionate about sports and what sports do for people. I believe that sports are a way to unite people from all backgrounds.

This blog will provide various takes I have on sports, whether that be the greatest athletes of our generations, latest game updates, or reasons that all people should take an interest in the very thing that has the ability to unite all people.
